76-Year-Old Man Arrested after Deadly DUI Pedestrian Accident on Lawrence Drive

SACRAMENTO, CA (June 25, 2021) – Wednesday afternoon, 76-year-old Edward Johnson was arrested after a DUI crash on Stockton Boulevard.

The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. June 23, on Stockton Boulevard and Lawrence Drive.

According to reports, Johnson ran a red light at the intersection. As a result, his sedan struck a minivan as well as a male pedestrian.

Due to the extent of their condition, the pedestrian later succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. Meanwhile, the driver of the minivan escaped with minor injuries, while Edward Johnson and his passenger suffered minor injuries.

Eventually, Sacramento Police arrested Edward Johnson and booked him into the Sacramento County Main Jail on DUI charges.
