Two-Car Crash on Mettler Frontage Road Left 51-year-old Francisco Resendiz Dead

BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 14, 2022) – On Tuesday, 51-year-old Francisco Resendiz lost his life in a car crash on Mettler Frontage Road.

The crash happened in the area of David Road, east of Mettler Frontage Road.

According to the CHP, Resendiz was driving a Ford Ranger westbound on David Road when he attempted to pass other cars and collided with an oncoming Toyota Tundra.

Despite life-saving attempts, responding medics pronounced Resendiz dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, officials have no further information about the other driver.

Authorities did not consider drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the accident. However, an investigation is currently underway.
