3 Teenagers Killed in Fatal DUI Crash near Gabriel Road; David Zarb Arrested
CLARK COUNTY, WA (June 25, 2021) – 16-year-old Ivy Hunt and 15-year-old twins Harumi and Emi Yato died Monday afternoon after a DUI crash on SR 503.
The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. June 14, on Washington State Route 503 near Gabriel Road.
According to reports, 46-year-old David Zarb was driving his F-150 on northbound State Route 503 when he crossed the center line and collided head-on with the victims’ Mazda 3.
Responding officers later pronounced Hunt dead at the scene, due to the extent of injuries sustained.
Meanwhile, other rescuers transported the twins, Harumi and Emi Yato, to a nearby hospital, where they both died from their injuries. Danlette Yato, 66, the third passenger, was also taken to the hospital.
Additionally, authorities revealed that David Zarb was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
Officers later charged Zarb with vehicular homicide and assault charges, with his bail is set at $500,000. In addition, he is scheduled to appear in court again on June 25.
