San Diego Chargers’ Junior Seau’s Brother Dies in Crash Near Lake View Road

LAKESIDE, CA (February 7, 2022) – A head-on collision on Los Coches Road Tuesday afternoon claimed the life of Savaii Seau, the older brother of San Diego Chargers legend Junior Seau.

According to California High Patrol, the crash occurred sometime after 2 p.m. on February 1st in the Glenview area.

An El Cajon resident, 56-year-old Seau had been driving northbound on Los Coches when his 2005 Audi A6 drifted into the path of a southbound Helix Water District dump truck.

The collision left Seau with severe injuries, placing him at a trauma center where paramedics pronounced him dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, the 60-year-old trucker and Seau’s 42-year-old woman companion in the Audi were hospitalized due to “minor to moderately serious injuries”, CHP said.

At this time, the cause of the collision is still under investigation.
