Travis Scott Has Been Removed From 2022 Coachella Lineup

Rapper Travis Scott has been removed from the 2022 Coachella lineup of performers, a month after 10 attendees of his “Astroworld” music festival died.

Travis Scott was scheduled to headline the second day of the Coachella Valley Music Festival, scheduled for mid-April in Indio, California.

Houston PD confirmed the eight deaths after Scott’s November 5 headlining set at the Astroworld festival, after an alleged massive push toward the front of the stage by thousands in the crowd.

Since then, two more attendees succumbed to injuries sustained at the festival.

A criminal investigation is underway, and multiple lawsuits have been filed against Scott, fellow performer Drake who joined him on stage, the festival’s promoter Live Nation and its organizer ScoreMore.

Scott’s has denied responsibility for the deaths at the festival and his attorney has asked that the lawsuits against Scott be dismissed.

Days after the incident, a petition was started for Scott to be removed from the Coachella lineup, garnering more than 62,000 signatures.

Scott was also removed from the November 13 Day N’ Vegas where he was scheduled to headline and was replaced by recording artist Post Malone.

As of this writing, Coachella has not announced who will be replacing Scott in his scheduled time slot for the 2022 festival.
