Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Mira Mesa near Aderman Avenue Results in Fatality
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 16, 2021) – Tuesday afternoon a 50-year-old woman was killed in a pedestrian crash on Mira Mesa Boulevard.
The incident occurred around 2:25 p.m., as the woman walked across Mira Mesa Boulevard in a crosswalk near Aderman Avenue.
According to the investigators, a 45-year-old man driving a 2018 Jeep Wrangler was waiting at a left turn yield on a green light.
Once the traffic cleared, the driver made a turn and struck the female pedestrian.
Eventually, the paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the woman to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
In the end, authorities closed down Mira Mesa Boulevard in both directions while the San Diego Police conducted an investigation.
